Editor Jackie Frank and her posse will be on location as the street comes alive with Australian designers and stylists to help unleash the fashionista within. The celebration continues in store at Stone And Metal where many of our local designers and goldsmiths will be joining us so you can meet some of the faces behind our stunning creations. We are also offering 10% off the entire gallery for the evening so come in and see us and unearth your treasure.

Art on James Uplate Event
The mulled wine flowed freely as our harem of hennaed girls, gorgeous in their sensuous Indian silk and big bold Bollywood earrings, wandered and wove amongst the mingling guests. Our featured artist Sophie Hillsdon was on hand to give insight into the creative process behind the stunning works that graced our gallery walls, and many of our own talented goldsmiths were there also to celebrate and support art of the wearable kind. Dan Cox, who teaches at the Brisbane Institute of Art, gave us a sneak peek into his new collection and we were paid a visit by the Brisbane Blogger at www.bnehotornot.com ........ We are proud to say we are officially HOT!!

Stone and Metal have stunning new offerings from exotic locations far and wide as well as hand crafted gems from the neighbourhood. Our walls will be brought to life with art works from an emerging local artist and glassware from a local James Street Gallery. The floors will be lush with red carpet upon which our henna adorned models will sashay to the global sounds and spice scented air with mulled wine to welcome in the beginning of winter. Hong Kong
In March 2011 we packed our bags and set off for Hong Kong, for the International Jewellery Fair. It was HUGE! Around 6000 exhibitors in too many halls to count. And yes, I looked at almost every one! But amongst it all I managed to unearth some exotic treasures. From big bold Bollywood style earrings to stunning carved Burma Jade, it's a celebration of global jewellery to compliment our own home grown Australian pieces. Grazia Uplate Event
Stone And Metal were so excited to take part in the Grazia Uplate Shopping Event in November 2010. James Street was abuzz with the magazine's own stylists and designers such as Collette Dinnigan and Heidi Middleton among many many more. We decided we wanted to do something more than just offer a boring glass of champagne, so we hired the services of our very own Jack Sparrow! He hit the street and handed out treasure maps leading right to our gallery. Besides being lots of fun he was a huge hit with the girls......

Grand Opening Event
Our Grand Opening Event was held in September 2010. Brazilian drummers led a parade of girls adorned with striking jewellery and trailed by a Flag Bearer all the way through James Street. The march culminated in the presentation of the KEY to the Gallery for the ceremonial opening. Once the doors were open and the champagne was flowing, the party really got going. A big thank you to everyone who helped celebrate the realisation of a DREAM. X
