Stone And Metal is Samantha Anderson, Australian jewellery designer and goldsmith. Samantha crafts jewellery that has striking simplicity yet infinite complexity shaped by life and its diversity with nature inspiring organic shapes and textures that give birth to bold, tactile pieces of wearable expression.
Samantha is part of a new wave of jewellery designers that are using multiple influences and skills to create inspiring uniqueness in handcrafted jewellery and jewellery designs. “My goal is that the design and ultimately the individuality of the pieces reveal the personality of the goldsmith through the evidence of the artistic process being visible in textures and tool markings.”
Having studied Art and Design in Sydney and going on to further her skills in drawing, painting and sculpture, Samantha went on to study goldsmithing under the tuition of internationally renowned Elmer and Sue Rothbrust.
Today Samantha supplies handcrafted pieces to jewellery and fashion outlets across Australia and has clients, through the Stone And Metal Gallery, across the globe.
